Cut and bundle branches
Branches should be cut to manageable lengths and grouped so the full pile can be seen.
- Keep thorny material separate
- Do not hide wire or nails in branches
- Photograph the complete pile
Bag light material safely
Use bags that can be lifted safely and do not mix soil, rocks, chemicals or sharp items into ordinary yard waste.
- Disclose wet or muddy material
- Do not overfill bags
- Keep bags protected from rain where possible
Separate heavy landscape material
Soil, sod, pavers, concrete and stumps are different from ordinary branches and leaves and require separate review.
- Estimate dimensions and quantity
- Show loading access
- Identify machinery or manual-loading limits
