Metal pickup
Scrap Metal Removal
Request pickup of suitable metal items and non-hazardous scrap after the load, weight, sharp edges and access are reviewed.
What the service may include
Metal loads reviewed before pickup
Metal loads can include sharp edges, pressurized components, oil, fuel residue, batteries or extreme weight. Clear item photos are required before the route and labour can be assessed.
- Metal shelving and frames
- Selected metal furniture
- Non-pressurized metal fixtures
- Small mixed scrap-metal loads
- Dismantled metal pieces after safety review
- Selected commercial metal items after weight review
Information needed for review
- Item dimensions and estimated weight
- Sharp edges, protruding fasteners or broken glass
- Whether tanks, cylinders or containers are present
- Whether equipment contains fuel, oil, batteries or refrigerants
- Loading access and distance to the truck
Important: This is a haul-away service, not a promise of scrap compensation. Pressurized cylinders, tanks, hazardous residue, vehicle parts, regulated items and exceptionally heavy pieces require separate approval.
Planning and access
Make the metal load safe and visible
Do not conceal sharp metal inside bags or boxes. Remove loose glass where safely possible, identify oil or fuel residue, and keep the pickup path clear. Never cut or drain pressurized equipment without appropriate professional handling.
Common questions
Does A2Z pay for scrap metal?
No customer compensation is promised. The request is assessed as a removal service based on the complete load and access.
Are propane tanks accepted?
Do not assume pressurized cylinders or tanks are accepted. They must be disclosed and separately approved.
Can very heavy metal equipment be removed?
Possibly, but dimensions, weight, loading method and safe access must be reviewed before booking.
