Fall yard and storage preparation
Fall requests may include branches, patio items, sheds and garage clutter. Prepare outdoor material before weather changes make it heavier or less accessible.
- Cut branches to manageable lengths
- Keep sharp fasteners visible
- Separate yard waste from soil and concrete
Winter access
Snow, ice, frozen ground and limited daylight can change safe access. Keep driveways, stairs and walkways reasonably clear before pickup.
- Disclose unplowed or steep access
- Do not stack items where melting snow can damage them
- Confirm whether outdoor material is frozen in place
